Make Windows Explorer load a little faster

Sometimes as a Windows XP installation ages, for example if u try to open My Computer there's a considerable amount of delay in Explorer showing the drives and other storage devices. Well there's a small tweak we can try out. This works on some PCs but i have seen computers without any significant changes, but hey we got nothing to loose.

* Go to Folder Options
How? => Open My Computer =>Tools =>Folder Options

Then you will get this dialog box.

* Click on the View tab
* Spot the circled option. " Automatically search for network folders and printers"
*
Uncheck that check box and hit OK

That should do it. Do a restart and see if it improves loading time for you.
