Tired of that waiting for those start menu programs to appear? (Especially if you got a lot of programs). Here's a little REGISTRY tweak we can use to get rid of that delay.
* Press the Windows Key and R (to get the Run dialog box) or else you can click Start => Select Run...
* Type Regedit and hit Enter or press OK
* Press the Windows Key and R (to get the Run dialog box) or else you can click Start => Select Run...
* Type Regedit and hit Enter or press OK

* This is what you will see

* Now click the "+" sign beside HKEY_CURRENT_USER
* Next click the "+" sign beside Control Panel. (circled)

* Almost there - Now just single click on the key folder named Desktop which is shown within the red dots (NOT the "+" sign this time).
A whole heap of "entries" will show up.
The one we need to change is called MenuShowDelay (circled)
* Against this MenuShowDelay entry you will see a value like 400. That is the DELAY - 400ms.
* Double click the "MenuShowDelay" and you will be able to input YOUR OWN VALUE!
* Enter something in the range of 1 - 10 (but even 0 works).
* Hit OK and you are done. Close the registry editor and restart the computer to see the effect.

Great tutorial. was looking for this. Thank you
